Easter at St Mary’s, Strensall 2026
Palm Sunday 29th March
10am - Sunday service for all ages, with communion
Maundy Thursday 2nd April 7pm – Communion service
Good Friday 3rd April
10am – Good Friday service for all ages, lasting around 50 minutes in the Spearehead Hall,
including making an Easter garden, craft activities and refreshments.
1.45pm – Walk of witness, carrying the cross,
between the two churches of St Mary’s and Strensall Methodist
2-3pm – An hour of reflection, readings and silent prayer round the cross.
Easter Sunday 5th April
9.30am Easter Sunday Communion service
11.00am Easter Sunday All Age Celebration.
A service lasting around 50 minutes and followed by an Easter Egg Hunt in the churchyard
Sundays at St. Mary’s.
There are usually two services each Sunday morning.
At 9.30am there is a Holy Communion service.
At 11am there is an informal contemporary service
with Holy Communion on the fourth Sunday of the month.
Weekdays
We start the week with Parish Prayers on Mondays at 9.00am and
a Holy Communion service on Wednesdays at 10.00am
